Antifascist Ilya Shakursky was detained in October 2017 in Penza, after which he was accused of participation in a terrorist community and arrested. Shakursky reported being tortured with electric shocks in the basement of the pre-trial detention centre. On February 10, 2020, he was sentenced to 16 years in a strict regime colony and a fine of 50 thousand rubles.
