Director of a restaurant car, lived in Belarus. The elderly Simonov is hard of hearing and speaks with difficulty, and has a number of chronic diseases. A criminal case about "fakes" about the Armed Forces was brought against him. On 30 March 2023, he was sentenced to seven years in a general regime colony. On 18 January 2024, the Сourt of Сassation reduced the sentence by six months.
