Resident of Alushta, Crimea. On 10 June, 2019, he was detained and taken into custody the next day on charges of organizing the activities of a terrorist organisation due to his alleged involvement with the operations of the Islamist party Hizb ut-Tahrir. Later it became known that Nagaev was also accused of preparing for the violent overthrow of the constitutional order. On 16 August, 2021, he was sentenced to 13 years in a strict regime colony.
