On 24 August 2021, the case was returned to the prosecutor's office because the materials were not recorded in Braille - another defendant, Alexander Sizikov, was blinded as a result of a traffic accident. On 27 October, the appeal court overturned this decision. On 17 May 2024, he was sentenced to 12 years' imprisonment in a strict regime colony, with the first four years to be served in prison.
